Hair Transplant from Delhi NCR: Why Patients Fly to HASCI India

Delhi NCR is the largest hair transplant market in India. DHI, Eugenix, AK Clinics, Berkowits, Cosmocare, KAS Medical — the choices are endless. But for the most advanced option available in the country, you'll need to leave the NCR. HST (Hair Stem Cell Transplant) is licensed exclusively to HASCI in Hyderabad. A 2-hour flight gets you there.

Why Delhi Doesn't Have HST

HST is a patented technique. The Indian licence sits with HASCI alone. Every Delhi clinic — including the well-known names — is using FUE, FUT, DHI, or rebranded variants. These methods extract entire follicles, permanently depleting the donor zone and leaving small but visible dot scars across the back of the head.

HST is structurally different: only a partial follicle is extracted, leaving stem cells behind so the donor area is designed to regenerate.* For high-Norwood patients who may need a second session in 5-10 years, this design difference is decisive — FUE permanently caps your future options, HST is designed to keep them open.

The Delhi-to-Hyderabad Patient Trip

Standard out-of-state patient itinerary from NCR:

  • Day 0 (evening): Fly Delhi (DEL) to Hyderabad (HYD), ~2h 10m. 25+ daily flights. Stay at a hotel in Khajaguda, Gachibowli, or Hitec City — all 15-20 min from the clinic.
  • Day 1: Morning consultation and scalp analysis. HST procedure same day, 6-8 hours.
  • Day 2: Post-op review and aftercare briefing.
  • Day 3: Fly home. Resume desk work by Day 4-5 with no visible signs.

Important: Avoid Delhi's November-January Window for the Procedure

Delhi air quality during winter months is among the worst in the world. While AQI doesn't directly affect HST graft survival, it can irritate the freshly-operated scalp and make the post-op recovery experience far less pleasant. We typically recommend Delhi NCR patients schedule their procedure between February and October — or extend their stay in Hyderabad through the worst weeks. We'll discuss this with you during your consultation.

Cost: Delhi vs HASCI

Delhi has the widest cost range of any Indian city for hair transplant:

  • Budget clinics: ₹25-40/graft. Often non-doctor technicians. Strongly avoid for major work.
  • Mid-tier: ₹40-80/graft. Mostly FUE.
  • Premium (DHI, Eugenix Delhi): ₹70-150/graft. Excellent FUE/DHI surgeons, but still using techniques that deplete the donor.
  • HASCI HST: Consultation-based. For patients comparing premium options, total cost (including travel) is competitive — and you're getting technology not available at any Delhi clinic.

The Delhi NCR Patient Profile

  • Senior corporate / consulting professionals — Gurgaon and Cyber City executives are the largest cohort. They optimise for procedure quality + recovery time + natural-looking results, in that order.
  • Patients from Punjab and Punjabi-NRI — Punjab has high genetic predisposition to androgenetic alopecia. Many patients from Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Amritsar fly via Delhi to HASCI. We have a strong NRI Punjabi patient base from the UK and Canada.
  • Failed-transplant repair — Delhi has been a transplant market for over a decade. The corollary: many patients now have depleted donors and visible FUE scarring needing scar restoration. HST's ability to extract from previously-treated donor zones is unique here.
  • Lawyers, doctors, government officials — visibility-conscious professionals who require zero giveaway signs of a procedure.

Combining HST with Non-Surgical Therapies

For Delhi NCR patients with diffuse thinning rather than fixed-pattern baldness, our non-surgical hair therapies — PRP, GFC, GFC Plus with Biotin, QR678, Exosomes — can be a more appropriate first step or a complement to transplant. Many of our Delhi patients combine an HST session with a 4-6 month PRP/GFC programme to support the surrounding native hair.

FAQ: Delhi NCR Patients

I'm in Gurgaon — what's the closest airport?
Indira Gandhi International (DEL). Direct flights to Hyderabad (HYD) are 2h 10m on average. There are 25+ daily flights, so timing is flexible.

Do you do consultations on weekends?
The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM. Saturday consultations are common for Delhi patients flying in for the weekend.

Can I bring family with me?
Yes — many patients travel with a partner or family member. We have a comfortable patient lounge during the procedure day. Booking a hotel and other arrangements are up to you.

Is HST available at any clinic in Delhi?
No. The Indian licence is exclusive to HASCI. Anyone in Delhi advertising “HST” is either misrepresenting the procedure or using a marketing term that doesn't correspond to the patented Hair Science Institute technology.
